Article # 8
Hey loves! This is day six of the “30 Day Get to Know Me Challenge”! Just going to say that I cried the entire time I wrote this article.

Original Article:

What is the hardest thing you have ever experienced?

One of the hardest things I’ve experienced was when my “birthday twin” Lillian died. She was way older than me and she was a friend of my grandma’s. Every year my grandma would take us to Hunan’s for our birthday lunch. As she got older, we would have to go to her house and bring the lunch with us instead. We started playing scrabble when she couldn’t go with us to Hunan’s. I still go to Hunan’s with my grandma most of the time, but it’s gotten a little harder to go. We visit her grave every year. I remember that I couldn’t stop crying at her funeral. She would always get me a card and sometimes a present. I don’t remember if I was ever able to give her anything. I don’t even know if we have a picture of us together. I regret that when I did get a phone, I never took a picture. But it’s the memories that truly count. I was very young when we started the tradition, but I’m so grateful that we did start one. I miss her so, so much. I know she is having a wonderful time in heaven and that she is watching over me from above. I can’t wait to see her again.

The cover photo for this article is a hibiscus flower, which was Lillian's favorite flower. She had them all over the house and in her yard.
