Day 2 – Share photos and experiences from your Baby Bat days.

Very few pictures of me exist from my Baby Bat days. This is due to the fact that I despised having my picture taken; I still don't like it much, but at least I don't run away or hide my face anymore, haha.

Never-the-less, as you can see from the cover photo of this article, I managed to find a particularly cringe-worthy photo from when I was 16 (probably in late Grade 9 or early Grade 10). Also, I should note, I was drinking some fancy soda, not alcohol... I wasn't into the whole underage drinking thing.

As I mentioned in Day 1 of this challenge, I started my journey into the gothic subculture with Emo, borderline Scene, fashion. This was heavily influenced by the bands I listened to at the time, like Pierce the Veil, Black Veil Brides etc. This was when I began to wear all, if not mostly, the colour black; a habit that I still have today.

As far as experiences go, my Baby Bat days were particularly rough for me. I was constantly bullied in school and was dealing with some mental health issues. Most the stories I have from around this time period are sad, or at least tinted with some kind of negative aspect, so I would rather not share them. Anyways, on a more positive note, I feel that the bands I listened to and expressing my emotions through the style I once cherished, really helped me to get through those difficult times.
