Hey, lovely hearters and smilers. So for the past week, I have tried to avoid making this article, but I see it as inevitable. There are some things we need to discuss about the project and what it means to be on the team.

The Project

I know positivity and happiness are overly talked about things. You're probably tired of hearing about it. But it is something I heavily try to promote in my life and want to share it as much as I possibly can.

When this project first started, I honestly thought it wouldn't get very far. But then it took off and I was ecstatic. I actually saw something in this that I didn't see before the team grew: community. We were all together trying to promote such a beautiful thing.

Recently, however, many of you who have joined the team have not been posting, and that is completely fine. I don't expect you to post every day or every week. But for some of you, it's been weeks since you last posted a #TheSmileProject article. Instead, you create content for your profile. Again, that is completely fine. You want to make a name for yourself and I don't want to take that away from you. But if you're on the team, please notify me of whether you're busy or you want to take a break to make your own content for a while. I'm completely understanding and I will invite you back when you think you're ready to come back.

Being A Part of The Team Means...

Okay, so, this will sound a little cheesy, but being a part of the team means you are willing to put yourself before others while trying to make sure you're okay as well. Sound confusing? I'll explain. You're well-being and happiness is important. If you want to be part of the team, you need to make sure you're okay and well before committing to be a part of the team. Our goal is to promote happiness and joy and positivity and kindness, but we can't do that if you as a team member are not ready or happy with yourself. Others will see this in you and reflect what you feel.

When you're on the team, make sure to notify me when you're busy or want a break. That way I can jot it down and make a note of that.

I'm aware I haven't completely done my part, either. School has started and I have been a bit stressed. But I'm still going to post articles. As of right now, if you're a writer, write whatever you want as long as it promotes smiles and positivity.

I really want to make this project work. If everyone is busy and we need to take a short break, then so be it. But please let me know if that's the case.

Thank you for reading this article, beautiful smilers and hearters. Like always, I hope you have an amazing rest of your day and weekend.

XO,
Kaylee
