Exams, tests, a long day at work. Stress shows up in everyone's everyday life, and we all need a break. Yes, even you. The one sitting there thinking, I don't have any stress! We all have it, even if we don't want to admit it. And sometimes, it can take over our lives, be in control of everything that we do. So, in the next installation of my article series, I am here today to give you some tips on how to fight back the stress, one step at a time.

  • Listen to your favorite song
  • Just take a breather, rest for a couple seconds, a minute. and take a deep breath
  • Journal! Write down how you are feeling and why, or even just pick up a coloring book.
  • Make yourself a warm bubble bath
  • Play with a pet! Your pet, especially dogs, will be able to sense your anxiousness, and will be there for support
  • Bake. Personally, I love baking yummy desserts, and making something that you like is a great way to make yourself feel better! And, after all, stressed backwards is desserts...
  • Call a friend. Sometimes, all you need is a nice laugh, and your friends are great at coaxing one out. I know one person that whenever I talk to them, they can always make me laugh. When you are carefree, not even stress can penetrate through that barrier.
  • Plan your day ahead. If most of the stress that you can feel is in the morning, then make a schedule. You won't have to worry about what you need to do, as you already know everything you plan to accomplish.
