Happy New Year everyone!!
One of my goals in 2018 is to read 70 books!!
So I've decided to keep a monthly journal of the books I plan to read during the month as a way to track my progress~

January Book List

  • All the Dirty Parts by Daniel Handler
Superthumb aesthetic
I could literally not find a picture for this book, haha. Well, from Lemony Snicket himself, aka Daniel Handler, comes a risky book about a teenage boy and 'urges'! (Wouldn't want this post to be banned lol)
  • The Sun and Her Flowers by Rupi Kaur
Superthumb book
Kaur's previous book 'Milk and Honey' was a real inspiration, so this book would be lovely to read for the new year~
  • Chameleon in a Candy Store by Anonymous
Superthumb Superthumb
The title for this book in some places is transcribed as 'Chameleon on a Kaleidoscope'. The first book, 'Diary of an Oxygen Thief' was a crude but wonderful read, and I can't wait to see what this waste of space does next.
  • Real Friends by Shannon Hale
Superthumb breakfast
I could literally not find a picture for this one also! But anywho, this is a graphic novel that I bought for my littlest sister and she could not put it down when we got it, then she recommended me to read it so I will~
  • Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchet
Superthumb Superthumb
Did you know this is going to be a television show? 'American Gods' is killing it and it's wonderful having read it before seeing the series, so I'll be sure to do the same for this one!
  • The Lying Game by Ruth Ware
Superthumb Superthumb
I could, again, not find any pictures. I enjoyed 'In a Dark, Dark Wood' by Ware, and I started this one a while ago but stopped because I didn't care too much for it... But I'm forcing myself to finish it this month!
  • The Professor and the Madman by Simon Winchester
Superthumb Superthumb
This book is about how the Oxford Dictionary came to be. Weird right? But it's gotten a lot of good reviews so this will be my nonfiction for the month~
  • A Swiftly Tilting Planet by Madeleine L'Engle
Superthumb intuition
This is the third book in the 'A Wrinkle in Time' series, and with the movie coming out soon I want to finish the entire quintet!
  • After Dark by Haruki Murakami
book book
A lot of people know Murakami from 'Kafka on the Shore' but my friend said this one was her favorite, so I'm trying this one first.

Wish Me Luck~

That makes a total of 9 Books for January!
If you'd like to discuss any of the books for this month feel free to send me a message or talk to me on Goodreads!

All of my other Monthly Book Lists will be kept in this collection.
