I dedicate this article to all the girls around the world, struggling with their body image and self-confidence, and my best friend who managed to lose around 40kgs/80.4 pounds.

First of all, I wanna tell you that you are beautiful. Yes, I don't now what you're like, how does your body look. But, guess what - I don't have to.

To me, the fact that you are different from me and every single person walking on Earth is enough. You were born beautiful. When you were a baby, you weren't complaining about your thighs, about your ass or small breasts. And your argument "I didn't know how to talk or think" is not good enough!

When you learned how to talk, or you were at any age when you could think or do amazing things (such as screaming at your mom for not giving you that extra cookie), you weren't complaining about your chubby cheeks. You never said that you're not good enough.

There is something you gotta Know and accept right now, if you want to tear appart that bad self-image: SOCIETY TENDS TO CREATE IDOLS, RULES THAT WE "HAVE TO" PLAY BY, NORMS, BEHAVIOR THAT YOU HAVE TO APPLY IN ORDER TO BE ACCEPTED BY FAMILY, FRIENDS, CO-WORKERS, PARTNERS, ETC. WHILE GROWING UP, THOSE "RULES" ARE IMPRINTED ON OUR MINDS AND THAT'S WHY IT'S SO HARD FOR US TO LET THEM GO WHEN WE GROW UP - WE ARE LEARNED HOW TO FOLLOW THE RULES, NOT LET THEM GO OR CREATE NEW ONES.

That's why I felt the need to write this, because so many girls around the world think that they are not good enough because they're not skinny enough, not pretty enough, not smart enough, NOT GOOD ENOUGH. Why the hell would you use other people's opinion as a measurement for your beauty and uniqueness?

quotes, red, and different image

Every single girl is having a struggle, even the one labeled as "perfect".
BUT, your struggle doesn't define you.
Number on the skale should not be the criteria for anything. Whether it's high or low.
The color of your skin you see in the mirror is not criteria for being worthy or not. Sky is always beautiful, and it has so many shades!!!

Skin color and weight are the first things that crossed my mind because they are the two biggest reasons for low self-confidence, especially for young girls.

TO BE CLEAR: I am not encouraging you to be over-weighted or starving yourself. Your health is what matters the most, and if you need to lose or gain weight, you should do it but ON YOUR OWN TERMS, because it will make you healthier, because it will make YOU feel prettier. You shouldn't change your body just so that society can see you as pretty. And society is your family, your friends, your boyfriend, your girlfriend and anyone you meet in your life.

If you can, for example, have body that is twice as my size or half my size - have the same height as me, but my weightx2 or half of my weight - and still be healthy af and see your body as beautiful, then ROCK IT AND OWN IT!

It's so important to talk about this issues because we shouldn't have girls using foundation 10 shades lighter than their skin just so they can blend in - we all know you can never blend wrong foundation shade, no matter how good mua you are.

We shouldn't have girls starving themselves because they have a friend who wears size 0.

And, what's most important - we shouldn't have girls hating on those girls who are quiet and not as loud as them.
