Hello everyone and welcome to #BLOGMAS Day 4! Today's article is all about gratitude! Gratitude is something that is so important to have in your life because gratitude and love are the two most positive feelings that you can emit to make you happier and make the people around you happy too. I have come up with a few different reasons or benefits of gratitude and why it is important to be grateful in life. Let's get started...

Starting your day off with gratitude gives you the most positive vibe going. Saying or writing that you are grateful for this and that, is all key. When you make gratitude a daily thing, you start to focus more on the positive things and stop putting so much emphasis on the negative. Even though something may have gone bad, there is always something to still be grateful for - the learning experience so you are one step closer to being the best version of yourself. You stop focusing on the bad because you start noticing that actually, you have a lot to be grateful for. If you are having a bad day, write done everything you are grateful for. If you are feeling bad about yourself, write about all the things you like about yourself.

Gratitude makes us grateful for what we already have as we have the mindset that right now, what we have is enough. It's not even just your mindset or tricking yourself to make you believe that you have more than enough but truly, in this moment, you have enough. It could be that you haven't been focusing on these things or that you've actually been focusing on your lack of things that brings you feelings that you don't have enough. When you start being grateful for everything you have, you will genuinely realise that you do have enough and you have abudance in multiple aspects of your life. You will notice that you have everything you need in your mind, heart and soul to be successful, happy and fulfilled. It will make you less greedy as well. Ungrateful people never have enough and with that negative mindset they will never have enough nor truly happy. They will always be searching for more and will always be somewhat empty. Ungrateful people live in a state of perpetual emptiness because they are not looking at the things that are going right in their lives and are focusing on the things that are wrong. Don't be those people. Be grateful for every single thing. It's so important and so easy to be grateful. Being greedy is such a horrible way to live so instead, focus on being fulfilled through gratitude.

A lot of us struggle with anxiety. I struggle with anxiety. Battling anxiety is definitely a long-term thing to deal with and I have found that practising gratitude has helped so much I can't stress it enough. I know that a lot of people with anxiety and depression do require medical help (which I highly recomend), but if you want to try and take control of your life, gratitude is the way forward to help you with your day to day life. A lot of the time we are living in the future and living too far ahead of ourselves which causes these feelings of anxiety to happen. There's nothing wrong with living in the future and planning for the future, but anxiety does involve looking into the future and anticipating bad outcomes and the worst case scenario. We have all of things in our minds that just creates this big mess, which creates anxiety. So in order to alleviate your anxiety in the present moment, you have to live in the present moment. If you are living in the present moment and you are just sitting reading a book, everything is fine around you. Be happy, content and grateful for where you are in the current moment in your life. Everything, no matter of how difficult is may be, it will always get better. I promise. Gratitude places you at peace, you are not looking behind you nor ahead of you, you are looking at what you have right now. Stop listening to your anxieties and stop feeding your fears because I promise you, in the future you will have so many beautiful things to be grateful for. Gratitude also makes you happy about your life in its present state. Tell yourself that in your present state that there is so much good in your lives that you don't need to worry about anything. It just helps, it doesn't take away your anxiety for good of course, but it does help tremendously. Gratitude helped me be at peace with myself in my life, and I may not be where I want to be, I'm definitely happier now compared to where I once were, so why would it be different for you?

So these are my reasons that you should practice gratitude in your everyday life,because it really can help you live your best life. Postive thoughts equals a positive life so why don't you start practising gratitude today if you don't already.
