Hey guys - so I know how real the curly hair struggle is and it took me a long time to figure out how to take care of it. So I listed out the different types of curly hair and how to take care of it. I have 3B and my curls are much healthier than they were a couple of months ago.

1) 3A - Loosely defined curls and can generally be more frizzy. If your curly hair is 3A, your curls are an S-shape.

How to take care of it: A lot of shampoos and conditioners will do but I would highly recommend Deva Curl's "Livin' Large Wavy Edition" for weightless moisture and I would recommend using a leave-in conditioner to reduce frizz. All Deva Curl wavy products work really well but sometimes their shampoo products don't clean your scalp very well so you definitely want to use a hair mask like Jamaican Black Castor Oil to clean your scalp. It's available at Ulta.com.

2) 3B - More defined and thicker curls.

How to take care of it: Once again, I would recommend getting products from Deva Curl. I use "No-Poo" conditioner and I use Peter Thomas Roth's mega-rich shampoo which is great if you are super prone to dandruff like me. I used to get a lot of dandruff because my hair is so thick but this shampoo completely solved my dandruff. You can buy it on amazon.com. I also recommend using Aveda's leave-in conditioner to reduce frizz.

3) 3C - Much more defined and kinky and much thicker as well.

How to take care of it: Using Deva Curl products works really well. I don't have much knowledge when it comes to 3C but Luhhsetty (a youtuber) has plenty of videos on how to take care of 3C curls.
