Hi everyone! First off, I know yesterday was Black Friday and people go shopping because of the sales, which makes it also a great time to go gift shopping! So I’m very sorry for the lateness of this article. I already had the idea for this article back in October, but as I was doing my History On Weheartit article at the time, I kinda pushed this article back and forgot about it until today. Hence I’m here!

Holidays are coming up, and it’s the time of the year you usually have to buy presents for your friends and/or family. In case you badly need some inspiration on what to buy, keep on reading :)

Without further ado, here are some gift ideas for you!

Bath bombs are pretty self-explanatory, and are perfect for the winter season. Check if the person you’re buying this for has a bath though.

Also, if your friend loves memes, just know that meme bath bombs exist: https://www.danktank.co/collections/holy-meme-bath-bombs

Books are a way to go for everyone really. You could get them a book you personally really like, or something else. A few suggestions: Eleanor & Park, Milk and Honey, The Book Thief, the Harry Potter series, Paper Towns and The Perks Of Being a Wallflower.

Fuzzy socks, preferably winter-themed.

Candles to light up these dark days!

Picture frames are the way to go if you want a room to look cozier! Fill them with pictures of the lucky person you’re buying it for, the person’s favorite singer etc.

› If it’s for a person who’s about to become the legal drinking age, get them beer or wine lol.

Pencils like these are the cutest! I have pencils similar to these, you can find them for example on https://www.etsy.com.

› If you kick ass at writing, write a short story/poem. Optional: write a fanfiction about their favorite series/movie if you’re down that fandom’s “rabbit hole” as well haha.

› If you have artistic skills, draw/paint something for the person! Paint a picture of them or of something else, the choice is yours.

› Also, you can make any artistic person happy with paint.

› For all your meme-loving friends, I present to you: the Holy Méme Bible. Yes, this exists. I swear. Here it is if you don’t believe me: https://www.danktank.co/collections/holy-meme-bible (you have the ability to add Guac ffs)

Makeup! Pretty self-explanatory I’d say. Safe routes here are nail polish and lip balm/chapstick, as you don’t have to worry much about skin tones etc. Obviously, you can get them other makeup such as eyeshadow, lipstick and mascara, but check with them first!!

Phone cases! Everyone with a phone needs them (unless they’re really hardcore), so why not? Make sure you know which phone they have, and know their style! There are phone cases about pretty much anything. You can go from marble to quotes, patterns, plain colors, brands, movie/series-related stuff; anything their heart desires.

HUGE tip: search on https://www.etsy.com for phone cases! Coming from someone who frequently buys there, they have everything you need and more. Plus you’ll get compliments for days :)

Bake something yourself! Selfmade things always make great gifts. The little effort it takes is so worth it, especially if it’s their favorite food :) Ideas here: cookies, brownies, macarons, scones, (cup)cakes, a gingerbread house, a chocolate bark (see below).

MAKE A CHOCOLATE BARK!. I’ve done this a couple of times, and it impresses so many people despite it being so easy to make!

All you gotta do is melt 600-900 grams of chocolate (in pieces, preferably dark or milk chocolate) in a double boiler or in the microwave, stir until the chocolate is smooth. Cover an oven tray with parchment paper, then pour the melted chocolate into it. Spread the chocolate into an even layer of about 6 mm / 1/4-inch thick. Decorate the chocolate while it's still liquid, then pop the tray into the refrigerator. Wait until the chocolate bark hardened and cut it into pieces!

You can also use two different types of chocolate as your "base", for example, white & dark chocolate. Pour them separately in the oven tray and mix them gently, so you get beautiful patterns!

Ideas for decorations - if you’re making this, try to combine different colors and sizes of decorations, it’ll look even better!

- A different color chocolate than your chocolate base, e.g. white chocolate if your base is milk chocolate. You can write letters or draw on the chocolate base using a piping bag!
- Colored chocolate (blue, pink etc)
- Oreos
- Kitkats (single bars)
- Candy corn
- Pretzels
- Candy hearts
- M&M’s
- Skittles
- Sprinkles
- Candy canes
- Pre-made chocolate decorations
- Small marshmallows
- Any type of sprinkles
- Nonpareils
- Raisins
- Peanuts, almonds or other nuts
- Peanut butter cups
- (dried) Fruit
- Edible google eyes
- Popcorn

If you end up writing something in the chocolate, don't cut the chocolate bark into pieces!!

On a side note: if you’re making this, make sure that the person it's for doesn’t have an allergy or is on a diet. Also, as the chocolate bark probably will be pretty big, ensure that the person you’re giving it to has people to help eat/is really determined to eat all of it haha.

› If they’re heavily obsessed with anything (movies, series, artists), get them some fucking merch! Posters, shirts, cd’s, buttons, phone cases, necklaces (e.g. a time turner for Potterheads), anything you can think of.

› Make a playlist for music fans, especially if you two like the same style/genre! This is also an option for your internet friends :)

› A safe route: body care, such as soap, body lotion, body butter, scrubs, shower gel, face masks, moisturizers... that stuff.

A really, really nice article about them if they’re your WHI friends! Here’s the article that was made for me :)))) - All credits to Naemi (@mindofotherstars) for this amazing idea!!

Take the person on an adventure! Presents don’t necessarily have to be materialistic, so take them picnicking, hiking, sledging, ice-skating. Or go on a night drive, watch the sunset/moon/sunrise together, go to the sea/forest; the choice is yours.

› If you have the money, take the person on an adventure (that happens to cost a lot of money)! Think of the cinema, a concert, a theme park, museums, a shopping spree etc. You can even take them on a trip to another country if you live that Glamorous Life™.

› I know jewelry can be a bit pricey, but something small like a ring or necklace can be a big deal for those who love fashion! Ideas here are necklaces, chokers, rings, earrings, and bracelets.

› And lastly, if you don’t know ANYTHING and this article didn’t help you out either, the last thing you can resort to is money. However, there’s a lot of things to make it seem like you put effort into your present, even though it’s just money! You could fold money into shapes or hide it in Kinder eggs and other places.

How to be a lil’ fucker when someone asks for money: make a nice-looking box and fill it with a hundred (or more) sealed envelopes. Some of the envelopes should contain an X amount of cash, the others can contain anything. You could fill them with written notes/quotes, printed out memes, stones, pictures of whales, wallpaper samples, the instructions of your microwave, your chemistry notes, polaroid pictures, maps, your four-year-old niece’s stick-figure drawings, recipes, ads cut from magazines, posters of their least favorite singer, dried flowers, candy wrappers, whatever the hell you want basically.

That’s was it! Thank you so much for reading, I hope I’ve been able to give you some great gift ideas, or at least inspired you to get going on buying gifts :)

Until next time,
