Push yourself, because no one else is going to do it for you.

Oh, autumn, that beautiful time of the year where leaves fall from the trees, it rains all the time and you can wear cozy sweaters. But beware, it's also that time of the year when you get sick, and unofrtunateley, that fact doesn't stop the world from going on without you. Some people, espetially students, cannot afford to slack off, even while sick, so this is where I come in with these hopefully helfpul tips for styduing while being sick.

1. Prioritize.

Sometimes you can't always do everything, espetially when you're sick, and this is the time t set your priorities straight and make some choices. When homework and essays pile up, prioritize your work. Know your teahcers, some teachers don't care if you don't do your homeowrk because they understand you're sick, others don't really care as long as you do your work. Ask yourself if you really need to do it, and if yes, how could it be made easier.

2. Your bed is your best friend

When you're sick sometimes even sitting down in front of our desk can be hard, which is why your bed is your best friend. You'd be surprised on how much homework you can do without getting out of bed. The best thing about this is that you can be comfy, warm and smart at the same. I would recomend using some kind of support and preparing all of the items you'll need so you won't have to move around much, after all, it's supposed to make studying easier, not harder.

3. Water water water

I cannot stress this enough, drink water. Water is the source of life, and drinking it will make you feel better. It's great for your skin and you'll be more likely to study if you're hydrated, since it will energize yo. Water helps flushing out toxins, and when you're sick that's exactly what you need. It's a natural remedy for headaches and helps your immune system, so... drink water!

4. Relax and take it easy

Not everything has to be related to studying, taking a break from time to time can make a real difference on your performance and the way you see your work. You can either listen to your favourite playlist or take a nap, but resting is a must when you're sick or you might overwork yourself.

5. Sleep

Sleep is important, but when you're a student sometimes you just don't have the time to get those eight hours of shut-eye every night. But when you're sick, no matter how much work you have to do, you need to sleep those eight hours during the night. Sleeping will not only give you the rest you need, but it will also awaken your curiosity and creativity. And, let's be honest, who doesn't love sleeping?

6. Day off

If you're like me and you have a weak immune system, then you probably get sick a lot. I get sick at least four times a year and it usually hits me right in the middle of exams week, which means I have to cope with studying and being sick at the same time. If this is your case, then I advise you to take a single day off for everytime you get sick. For some people this must seem like a lot, but when you're having one of those days where you can't even walk in a straight line, maybe you should go home. Watch a movie, take a bath and stick to very light studying, but if I were you I wouldn't sleep the whole day.

7. Comfy clothes

When you're sick, being pretty isn't really a priority, not that you can't feel pretty in sweats, but, let's be honest; when we want to feel pretty we dress nice, when we're sick... not so much. Comfortable clothes are important, because they're what you're going to be wearing for the whole day. It doesn't matter if its sweatpants and an oversized hoodie, leggins with fuzzy socks or your pyjamas, you gotta be comfy.

So... I hope this article was helpful if you're currently sick but still have to study or if you just don't fee like falling behind on your work.
