We've all been there. We tried something and failed. We just ran out of ideas. We just started to hate everything and everyone. So what to do next?

Sometimes, no matter who we are, what we do, where we live, we go through a period where we suffer, where we can't seem to find meaning in our lives. Some of us go through it all the time, some only once or twice in a lifetime. But the real problem starts when we can't find a way out of it. Here are some things to do, if you wanna start truly living again, but you don't know how.

Make a decision

First of all, you need to realize you're in a bad place and you need to decide you want to get out of it. I know it seems hard. I know whatever put you in this position really broke you. But that doesn't mean you can't make it better, step by step. Take a deep breaths, gather your thought, and continue after that.

Learn to love yourself

Sit down and think. Find one thing you love about your personality. Then stand in front of the mirror and find one thing you love about your looks. Write them down, and find a new one every day. It doesn't need to be big. It can be your humor, kindness, wit and your eyes, smile, hair or a tiny freckle, it doesn't matter. It just needs to be about you.

Learn to love your life

Every single day, find something in your life you love. A person you're close to, an object in your room, a music that gives you the feels, a movie that makes you emotional, a place you love and write them down. Whenever you feel like everything sucks look these up and remember, there are thing worth living for.

Find a hobbie

Finding a hobbie, a passion or simply something that keeps you occupied is great. If you feel sad, lost, overwhelmed, these will help you calm down. Find a sport, play an insturment, learn to draw or paint, practise writing, go hiking, watch movies. You need to find something you really care about, something you can wrap your mind around.

Reach out to people

If you're in a bad place, you might stop caring about the people in you're life as much as before. So if you want to change your life, you need to improve your realtionships with the people who kind, caring and loving towards you and cut the negative, toxic people out. Talk to your parents and siblings, meet your friends. Start socializing everyday, start with short time periods until you feel totally comfortable near them.

Seek help if needed

Sometimes no matter what you do, you can't get better on your own. Don't be scaredor ashamed to ask for a professional's help, your physical and mental health are more importnat than anything.
