Central Park

So of course starting of with something to do and that is Central Park, but a little tip for you, start at the Plaza Hotel at 59th street. Not only is it just an iconic hotel but you could take a lot of beautiful pictures over there. This area is always awesome decorated for the holidays, but it also gives you a perfect access to Central Park. It's like a direct walk-in, which makes it super easy. We all know that there are so many activities and beautiful views over there. In Mid-Park they have The Boathouse, where a lot of street performers are making your day. Park designers Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux created the Lake from a former swamp, for boating in the summer and ice-skating in the winter. The 20-acre Lake is the largest of Central Park's naturalistic water bodies. Remember Wollman Rink of Gossip Girl? With its romantic backdrop, Wollman Rink puts visitors beneath the magical New York City skyline by day, and its twinkling lights by night. The place is not only been featured in Gossip Girl, but also in films such as Love Story and Serendipity.

Madison Ave. / 5th Ave.

Full of shops, every shop you can think of is located here. Also lots of the upscale shops, think of: Chanel, Barney's, Bergdorf Goodman, Tiffany & Co. (where you can get amazing breakfast!). Window shopping is just simply great, everything is so pretty decorated. It's a perfect place to kill time as well as on a rainy day, but the area is something that HAS to be mentioned in this article!

Filming Spots

For all of you Gossip Girl fans, Upper East Side was the place for a lot of the shows. The MET steps is one of them, which I wrote above about it. The Palace Hotel in general, it's so beautiful you should definitely just have a look over there. Gossip Girl fan or not, you have to go, because they decorate it so beautiful for over the holidays and it's definitely worth going! Then last is the Empire Hotel and I'm pretty sure they have Gossip Girl themed drinks. But since the Empire is on the Upper West Side, for dinner of for brunch go to: The Smith across the street. This restaurant has pretty much anything for everyone, so you're good to go with that and it's delicious!
