whether you have an bass, electric or acoustic, these tips are gonna help you in some point, i mean these tips helped me.

BE PATIENT

okay just because you bought a good guitar with a good gear doesn't mean that you will play like your idols, believe me, it will take you awhile to get use to the notes and strings, even if you are having lessons, this thing is goddamn important, have patients, you won't sound like the way you want to be at first.

DO COVERS

if you are a self thoughting guitarists this might help you, try to do covers of songs, i never had any music teacher teach me about guitar, i learned it myself, if you wanna be like steve vai or slash, don't hurry, try to learn the notes and listening carefully to the songs than cover it.

PRICE DOESN'T MATTERS

it doesn't matter if you bought the cheaper one or the expensive one, if you have experience in guitars you'd know both doesn't sound that much different as the internet says it to be, so buy the one you can afford, don't rush it up, be patient.

GEAR IS IMPORTANT

if you are an electric/bass guitarist than gear is definitely important, it won't cost you that much, buy an amplifier or pedals (if you like) , play it in your basement or somewhere so the sound doesn't bothers anyone.

SWEEP PICKING IS NOT EASY!

oh, just because you saw your idol sweep picking, you thought i'd be easier, believe me kid, it is very hard, it took me years to learn it, but if you wanna learn, don't be too cocky, just wait till you learn the notes or you just fuck up the strings.
