I can listen to him speaking all day. It's not even about the simple stories he's telling me. It's about the hundreds of different tones he uses to emphasize his emotion, his ability to speak through four sentences without even a gasp of air, the veins in his neck and the wrinkles beneath his eyes that appear when he's laughing, his fingers painting pictures in the air ; trying to explain his stories more vividly. And maybe the main reason why I love listening to him speak so much is because the only thing I can concentrate on is his lips mimicking every word when all I want them to do is mimic the inside of my mouth.
