My makeup routine for outside and inside school!

"Brows before bros"

October 10, 2017

I have 2 makeup routines, one for outside of school and one for inside school. Everything that I use and own are drugstore makeup but they are really good quality and they are the best things I've used throughout my years trying different products.

Outside school makeup

When it's the weekends or I'm not at school I do a full face of makeup, I don't use many products but I'll show you my step to step guide on what products I use and how I apply it.

I like to start off with moisturising my face, I don't have a primer but that's ok.

On my hand I put a little bit of Stay Matte foundation (liquid mousse) by Rimmel London in the shade Ivory (100). I got it from Priceline for $7 instead of $14 from Kmart. I then mix it with Dream Liquid Mousse by Maybelline in the shade sandy beige (60). This product I get from Coles for $11. I mix the two and apply it my foundation brush by ecotools for wait for it $22 I know it may sound expensive but it's cheaper compared to other brands. After I apply it on with the brush I go in with a "beauty blender" for $3 rinse it in water to help it blend in.

Afterwards I like to do my brows. I use my spoolie to brush up all the brow hair and then I "shape" it back into places. With my Brow this way from Rimmel London in the shade Medium brown (002) I use the wax side with an angle brush to shape out my brows. Then I go back in again with the spoolie just to brush it out evenly. Then back with the angle brush I use the powder to set the wax and I use the spoolie once again to blend it out. The brow kit was from Target for $4 and no I don't use the little cheap thing that came with it.

Next I go in the my Instant Age Rewind concealer by Maybelline in the shade light pale I make triangles under my eyes and a line going up from just under the eye for a "natural" highlight. I also like to do 3 little stripes on my forehead to help give off a highlight. I got the concealer for $13 from Priceline. I would also go do my brows to help define it even more depending on the mess I created. I blend it out with my ecotools concealer brush which came in a set of five along with the spoolie, angle brush, blending brush and powder/blush brush for $22.
I then once again go in with the beauty blender with a bit of water to help blend it in.

I then use a setting powder by an unknown brand (it doesn't have a brand on it). It's 11 years old and I know I need a new one but I haven't gotten that far yet.. instead of using the pad thing that came with it I use my powder/blush brush to apply it to the places I put concealer on.

Next I apply my mascara. I use Lash Sensational from Maybelline for $10 from Coles because that's where my mum brought it from. For my bottom lashes I like to use Ultimate All-in-one by Revlon. I like to use this for my bottom lashes as the wand is very small and I can get to my lashes. This is $23 from Priceline.

I then use the blending brush to apply my Strobing stick from BYS from Kmart for $7 to the inner corner of my eyes and it gives a beautiful effect.

After I've done my eyes I go in with my Strobing palette by Samantha Jade (for Modelsprefer) using my powder/blush blush and boy this has got to be the best drugstore highlight palette out there! Although Samantha Jade is an Aussie sing/song writer I'm not sure it's available anywhere else in the world.. This cost $20 for 6 different colours at Priceline!

That's my look for when I'm outside school. Sometimes because I don't have everything I would like I use eyeshadow to contour as my makeup is all expired and I have to get new things.

Inside school makeup

First of I liked to say I don't go full out with this because at my college you're not allowed to wear full face makeup..

As always I like to do my brows. The brow kit was from Target for $4 and no I don't use the little cheap thing that came with it, instead of using that cheap thing I use a spoolie and an angled brush from ecotools from a pack of 5 brushes for $22.

I blend it out with my ecotools concealer brush.
I then once again go in with the beauty blender with a bit of water to help blend it in.

Afterwards I apply my mascara. I use Lash Sensational from Maybelline for $10 from Coles because that's where my mum brought it from.

Sometimes, depending on the day when I'm feeling extra glamorous I go in with the Strobing palette by Samantha Jade (for Modelsprefer) using my powder/blush blush and boy this has got to be the best drugstore highlight palette out there! This cost $20 for 6 different colours at Priceline!

And no, I don't set my makeup for school unless I have sport.
