Having acne problems? Well here are some tips on how to get rid of acne (just remember that it takes a while for acne to go so don't expect it to be gone overnight). Take these tips at your own risks and remember to be careful. Try these tips on the side on your neck or on your hand before applying to the face.

1) Cleanse face only two times a day, and don't over do it because it will dry up your skin while irritating it.

2) Use an ice cube to get rid or redness and irritation.

3) Try using tea tree oil.

4) Drink 8 cups of water a day

5) If you exfoliate, limit it to once a week to prevent your skin from becoming damaged or dried out

6) Rub a bit of lemon to the area (too much of it may cause irritation to the skin)

7) Use Aloe Vera

8) Use a moisturizer because it helps prevent your skin from building up its own acne-causing oils. Just make sure to pick one that is oil-free.

9) Clean anything that touches your face. Your skin’s natural oils can build up on things like pillowcases, cell phones, and washcloths

10) Don’t touch your face as this only introduces more bacteria to your skin and will make your acne worse.

11) Eat healthily. Foods that are highly processed and contain a lot of oils greatly increase the amount of acne on your body

12) Get at least eight hours of sleep. Sleeping kills two birds with one stone, as it helps to relax your body as well as detoxify it. If you aren’t getting enough sleep, chances are your skin hasn’t had the time or ability to renew its skin cells

13) Regularly clean make-up brushes to prevent bacterial growth

14 )Wear sunscreen everyday and do not tan. Exposing your skin to harmful UVA and UVB rays damages skin and prolongs post inflammatory erythema (PIE) - red acne marks, as the sunlight stimulates pigment-producing cells

15) Use a toner after cleansing. After you wash your face, exfoliate, or apply a face mask, apply a toner to the entirety of your face. Toners work to tighten pores making it less likely that dirt and oil will become trapped in them

16) Use a sheet or face mask. Sheet or Face masks contain compounds that soothe your skin and kill bacteria

17) Get a facial. These are available at most spas, and involve the use of several different cleansers, masks, and extraction tools to reduce acne on your face

18) If you use hair products such as gels, sprays and waxes, you should make sure they don’t come into contact with your face, especially your forehead. You may also find keeping your hair away from your forehead can help improve spots on your forehead. Washing your hair more regularly also helps improve spots

19) When washing your face you should clean it gently rather than scrubbing the skin. Pat your skin dry rather than rubbing it

20) Finally, if nothing is working, go and visit a dermatologist!
