René Descartes described the pineal gland as "the principal seat of the soul". You may have already heard of this gland as the third eye.

It is a small endocrine gland in the shape of a pine cone that is located in the center of the brain at the same level as the eyes. While the brain is composed of a right hemisphere and a left hemisphere and it is perfectly symmetrical, this unique gland is unique. The third eye would allow people to transcend the material dimension in order to have access to higher levels of consciousness. The pineal gland really looks like an eye; it has the same shape and the same tissues. It has a retinal tissue composed of photoreceptors exactly like the eyes and it is connected to the visual cortex of the brain. She even has a vitreous body like the eye. In our body, each element has a very specific function.

In ancient Egypt, the pineal gland was considered as a door uniting different dimensions and was represented by the eye of Orus.

It would allow us, in functioning properly, to fully live our spiritual development, vibrate at higher frequencies. Meditation would then become much deeper. It would give us greater freedom of action in the physical and material world of which we are a part. It would be a gateway to discover our full potential, and bring more well-being into our lives.

Several studies have shown that the pineal gland tends to calcify in modern societies and stop functioning properly.
This phenomenon is due, among other things, to the fact that fluorides accumulate in the pineal gland more than in any other gland and lead to the formation of phosphate crystals. Because of their action, the pineal gland reduces its effectiveness and produces less melatonin, which disrupts the sleep-wake patterns. Some research shows that calcification of the pineal gland would accelerate the sexual development of children, especially girls.
It is then necessary to reduce fluorides to improve one's health.

1. Exit and be exposed to sunlight

Exposure, direct or indirect, to sunlight appears to be able to activate the pineal gland by causing it to produce serotonin, a neurotransmitter responsible for mood and increasing energy levels.
It is even advisable to watch the sun at sunrise or sunset when the intensity of light is the least severe. This would also help activate the pineal gland, but this obviously involves risks to the health of the eyes. So do not forget to protect them, too.

2. Sleeping in the dark

On the other hand, it is important to be in the dark when the sun sets, for from that moment the pineal gland begins to produce melatonin and ceases to produce serotonin.
It is then important to reduce the level of exposure to electric light after sunset. The light of cell phones, tablets, computers and televisions before going to sleep stimulates serotonin by tricking your pineal gland, which then behaves as if it were daylight, thus disturbing sleep-wake rhythms .
In addition, sleeping in the darkest fullness is very important. A dark environment ensures that your pineal gland produces enough melatonin to allow you a deep and restful sleep.

3. Meditating

The pineal gland responds to the bio-electrical signals that are released by the brain when practicing meditation. Meditation is the art of mastering one's mind through the development of one's own consciousness. The unconscious is responsible for 95% of our thoughts, and our conscious of only 5%. So it is important to get to know and master your mind so that you can positively influence it towards the direction we want to go.

During meditation, one seeks to relax the mind by focusing our attention and our conscience on inner calm. In this state, we allow ourselves to stop the flow of our thoughts and our concerns and to be simply at peace the time that lasts for meditation. The objective of the person meditating is not to pay attention to thoughts that arise, but to look at them without identifying with them.
By progressing in meditation, the mind acquires more and more inner calm, the tension due to the excessive amount of thoughts is reduced and the pineal gland can then function with more energy and be more receptive.

4. Fasting

It would seem that the practice of fasting is one of the best ways to increase mental clarity and rejuvenate the brain, body and spirit. The digestive system is constantly bombarded with foods that we eat throughout the day and so it is still in operation, recovering on foods to eliminate and new to digest. In this state of constant digestion, our body does not have the opportunity to rest and detoxify as it should.

When we fast, we take away an enormous weight on our body which can then release enormous amounts of energy. As the body is no longer busy removing new toxins, it can then eliminate those that have accumulated in the body. During a fast, the body will eliminate everything that is not necessary for its functioning. The greatest benefit to the brain when practicing fasting is the detoxification that occurs during this period.

5. Eat foods that have an alkaline effect

There are two types of foods: those that have an alkaline effect on the body and those that have an acidic effect. Our body has a natural pH that is between 7.35 and 7.45. A too acidic pH in the blood causes an imbalance, a discomfort and, among other things, calcifies the pineal gland. Whenever we eat a food that causes a very acidic pH, our body is forced to balance using minerals present in our body to eliminate that acidity. It would seem that a higher level of spiritual growth through a complete decalcification of the pineal gland can be achieved by eating foods that result in alkaline pH. When we eat more alkalizing foods, we begin to increase our intuition, our psychic abilities, our dreams, our calm, our inner peace, our happiness, our creativity and our energy level in general.

List of foods that have an alkaline effect on the body:
alfalfa, almonds, apples, apricots, artichokes, asparagus, avocados, bananas, barley, basil, beetroots, blackberries, broccolis, Brussels sprouts, buckwheat, cabbages, cantaloupes, carrots, cauliflowers, celery, chard, cherries, chestnuts, chile, chives, chlorella, cinnamon, coconuts, courgettes, cucumbers, cumin, currants, curry, eggplants, fennel seeds, garlic, grapefruits, grapes, green beans, kales, kiwis, laminarials, leeks, lemons, lentils, lettuces, lima beans, limes, linseed, macadamia nuts, mangoes, melons, millet, mushrooms, brown mustard, nectarines, okra, olives, olive oil, oranges, onions, papayas, parsnips, peaches, pears, pecan nuts, peppers, pineapples, radishes, raisins, raspberries, rhubarbs, rutabagas, sea salt, sesame seeds, soy sauce, spinach, spirulina, squashes, squash seeds, stevia, strawberries, sweet potatoes, tangerines, taraxacum, tomatoes, turnips,
watercress, watermelons, wheat grass, yams.

The worst foods in terms of acidity are:
alcohol, artificial sweeteners, foods high in sugar, meat, milk and dairy products, pasta, refined sugar, salt (except sea salt), white flour.
