I always enjoy watching YouTube videos of people explaining their morning routine into more detail, so I figured I'd share mine with you. Let me know what you think, what else you'd like me to write about and whether this article helped you cultivate new, positive habits. I'd love to hear from you!

Wake up at dawn. Wash up, brush your hair and appreciate having a brand new day ahead of you.

First thing I do when I get up, is drink a glass of water and make coffee. Usually, I'll throw some yoghurt, fruits and nuts into a bowl and enjoy a fresh breakfast. I've heard it's also a good idea to have some hot water with lemon in the morning, going to try that soon.

On weekends, I definitely spend more time preparing a tasty, luxury breakfast for me and my man. It's great to have just that little bit of quality time together whilst enjoying a nutritious meal!

This is also the time when I decide on my top priorities of the day. I do this by simply asking myself what I need to get done to feel satisfied with what I've accomplished by the end of the day.

Note: Never underestimate the power of having positive intentions as soon as you wake up! First thing in the morning, tell yourself that you’re going to have an amazing day. Write down no more than 3 important tasks, and get on with the rest of your morning routine.

After completing some gentle stretching exercises to reduce stress and prepare both my mind and my body for the day, I use my Headspace app to meditate every single morning for at least 10 minutes. It's just a great way to start your day feeling at peace.

Then, there's also the bit where I just do a little tidying around the house and make the bed. Fold laundry. Do the dishes. I don't spend too much time cleaning up in the morning, but it does feel nice to come home from work to a tidy and neat environment, where you can just do your own thing and relax.

Update WHI

Ever since the new articles feature came around, I've decided to have a little me-time on WHI every single morning. I'll just grab my laptop, browse WHI, add to my collections, answer messages, work on an article, etc. It's just so nice that when you're passionate about something, commitment comes on its own. Love it!

Of course, there comes a time for me to get up, get ready, pack my things and head off to work. So, I'll just make sure I have my keys, wallet, iPhone, hairbrush, make-up bag... Just the essentials. Lunch, of course. I usually like to prepare my lunches at least a day ahead, so in the morning I just empty the fridge in my bag and I'm all set!

We live very close to the station, so I just bike there. As soon as I'm in the train, I've got another 40 minutes of free time. I usually love to browse and listen to music on Spotify, or read/listen to an interesting book on my Blinkist app.
