1. Planning is everything

You should definitely have a planner. A planner is nice to write down your homework, assignments and appointments. If you write everything down, you'll feel organized and put together. Just a quick look can give you an overview of your week/month.

those are some examples of planners. I personally prefer the last one for school, but I do use things like the first one for planning my entire week.

2. Learn how to write neatly

This can help you feel organized too. It always feels nice to look at (for example) your planner and see everything very nicely written. Also, it helps to make clear what you wrote down. Writing neatly makes sure that it is easy to read what you have written.

3. Summarize

Summarizing what you have to study can really help you. I know it takes a lot of time, but the results are worth it. While you are summarizing, you will also learn about the subject. Summarizing is a fun way of studying, because you can be very creative. Try to learn some different fonts and little drawings to decorate your summary. Making a good summary will give you an overview of everything you'll have to study, plus it will give a very organized and put together feeling.

4. Have a routine

Having a routine can really help you to study better. You should try to find out what works best for you, but I will give you a short overview of my routine.

After I get home, I get a snack and go to my room. In my room, I start with checking my planner. Then I write down everything I have to do in a to-do list. I usually start with a little bit of easy homework, just so I can get in the vibe of studying. Also, finishing up a small task can really help you feel confident in your studying. After that, I start studying. While I'm reading, I write down the most important and difficult parts. After I finish reading, I make an overview of everything I wrote down, see number 3.

When I have studied everything and did all the homework on my list, I go an and reward myself for staying focused. At night, before I go to sleep, I read my summary again and I do this too before I leave for school the next morning.

5. Find out how you study

There are four types of learners: visual, auditory, kinesthetic and reading/writing.
You can take a test here: http://www.educationplanner.org/students/self-assessments/learning-styles-quiz.shtml
Knowing how you study best can help you improve your performances.

That's it for this time!
If you want to know more about what I do and get some study tips, let me know.
