Hello, Everyone. Hope y'all are enjoying your day/night.

I just want to start off by saying, This article is in no way, shape or form saying that you have to be skinny to be beautiful.

So, Just to give you an idea of why I am writing this article, I'm just going to share this with you.
I started my weight loss journey many years ago. I have been on and off diets for a long, long time. The reason for that is basically because, I went on this journey by myself with very little help. I never knew what to do, what to eat or what exercises I should do. Up until now, I was clueless on how to change my lifestyle. I remember endangering my body and eating no more than 600 calories a day. I finally got advice from a personal trainer and I currently have lost almost 2 dress sizes. Now that I've got that out the way, Keep reading if you would like to know my tips.

1. DONT LISTEN TO FAD DIETS
One of the worst things I did that never actually worked for my body, Was follow all these fad diets. I used to follow one diet for a month and got no results. After that I tried another and eventually, I realised that none of them worked. The best way to lose weight is to follow the traditional diet of sticking to 3 meals a day with 2 snacks. I found that I've been feeling way more healthier simply by feeding my body whole and nutritious foods.

2. Eat whole foods

Eating whole foods is the best option as it's pure. There is no added sugars or preservatives. It's all natural, which is what you want. Don't be scared to eat fruit because of the sugar content. As long as you eat fruit in moderation and not all in one hit, You will be fine. Try and steer away from any processed foods or meat.

3. Drink lots of water

I know, I know. Everyone says to drink water, and they're right. Water is the most crucial part of any diet and even life in general. Every single person needs to stay hydrated and drink around 2 or more litres a day. The're is so many benefits from drinking water. For a diet, Water will help you feel full. In most cases, People will go off their diet and eat junk based off the fact that they're always hungry. No, Your body is not hungry, It needs water. I can guarantee that if you feel hungry after a meal, and drink water instead of eating, That hunger crave will go away.
You need to learn the difference between being hungry and needing to replenish.

4. Try and exercise

I can tell you right now, I don't go to the gym and strength train. I have lost weight by simply getting up early each morning and going for a long walk before breakfast. I prefer cardio than weights, I find it easier to commit to. I do wake up some mornings and just have the urge to go back to sleep, but you have to fight that urge. Exercise is important in your daily life and for your diet. Even if you just go for a 30 minute walk, that's all you need to do. As long as you are doing some sort of physical activity, You will burn calories.

5. Find your motivation

motivation, quotes, and workout image

I have two motivations. One is to keep going and the other is for workout days. To keep going I just think of how happy and confident I will feel within myself once I have reached my goal. I was and still am one of the most self conscious people out there. I was always bullied in school for having thick thighs and just looking chubby in general. That built up over the years, but you know what, I use that as motivation. I know that when I reach my goal, I will be so happy and proud of myself for making a change. For workouts, I know that if I can go for a walk, I can take pictures to upload. As a major lover of photography, I love going out and taking pictures. So, pretty much, No walk, No photos and that doesn't sit right with me.

6. LOVE YOUR BODY NO MATTER WHAT SIZE YOU ARE
I chose to go on this journey mainly because, I want to be healthy. I want to live a healthy lifestyle, Not sit at home all day eating junk. Yes, I do want to have a skinny figure so to speak, but in no way does that mean that everyone in the world needs to have one, too. That is my decision to make. Everyone is beautiful no matter what size, race or skin tone they are. You should always love who you are, and be god damn proud of that. Never, Ever let anyone say that you're not beautiful because you're not skinny or you're too skinny. It works both ways. If you want to change how you look, There's nothing wrong with that. Your body, Your choice. If you choose to do so, Please, Do it for yourself, Not for someone else.

I hope this helps and just don't forget to always be proud of who you are.

You're all perfect.

Amy
