I notice that Autumn is more the season of the soul than of nature. - Nietzsche

My favourite time of the year is the beginning of autumn. During those first days, the trees are still mostly green, only beginning to get a yellow and red touch to them here and there. A couple of orange leaves are already lying like little freckles on the still green grass.

The air still mostly warm, but fresh and chilly winds coming more frequently until it finally isn't warm most of the time anymore. Until the air is cold and fresh, awakening your mind and spirits.

But at the same time, the world is covered under grey, rainy clouds and a thin blanket of mist, giving the city a mystical and romantic atmosphere. Everything feels more distant, more peaceful, more calm.

And then all of a sudden, everything changes. The sun breaks through the clouds, the sky opens up and the mist disappears. People are on the street - walking, talking, laughing. Autumn is the season of change. Autumn is the season for the soul as Nietzsche said. The soul is awoken by the fresh autumn winds.
