Greetings my lovely scroller!

I was bestowed upon with yet another list. This time around we'll talk about movies.
Now, you must know that I adore movies. I've always wanted to be an actress (I have no talent though, so I'm not sure how this will play out) and even though I admire and love the theatre, movies always had this special charm to them. You can create so many extraordinary moments, making the unimaginable seem real. I'll try to make a short list which might actually happen this time, because I'm absolutely exhausted and I'm not including any cartoons (but still, I'm not promising anything).

So, here's to day 6: Make a list of your favourite movies.

1. Titanic
Which was also my very first movie so to speak. Leo was my first love and I can still remember quite vividly how my grandmother put my dreams to shame. I was probably around 5 or 6 when I fell in love with the movie. I remember we were just about to leave the flat when we talked about the movie and I told her I want to marry Leo. She then said he won't always be young and that he won't wait for me. By the time I'll be older and ready to marry, he'll probably be already married and so old I wouldn't even want to marry him, if I've gotten the chance (that's not true, I kind of have a crush on him, don't judge me). Now, when I say I loved the film… I'm not sure you understand just how much. When was sick and stayed at home, I'd watch the film, then reversed the video tape and watch the whole thing again (my record was 3 times in a row).

2. The Lord of the Rings trilogy
If you've been here before, you'll know just how much I love Lotr. I won't write the whole thing again, but after so many years it still has this special place in my heart and I have this strange feeling it always will.

3. The Imitation Game
This movie. Guys. Just… ugh, I LOVE it. I love the production, the picture, the soundtrack, the ACTING, dear LORD! It's amazing. I love it. I absolutely love it.

4. Grease
I adore musicals, but Grease still kind of takes the cake, even though it is not my favourite musical of all time. And to think of it… I liked The Sound of Music better (oh, and Les Misérables!) and yet, well, Grease was my first. 'First love never dies.' might have something to it, doesn't it?

5. The Harry Potter series
Again: if you've been here before, you'll know I love Harry Potter ardently. I watched the first movie when I was around 9 I think and the last one when I was around 14. And I heartily hope that I'll be reading/watching the series when I'm 80 and then someone will ask me »After all this time?« and I'll respond with: »Always.«

6. Pirates of the Caribbean: The curse of the black pearl
I mean… Johnny Depp, Keira Knightley, Orlando Bloom, zombie pirates and amazing music. Do I need to say more? I liked the rest of the films as well, but honestly nothing could compare to the first one.

7. Pride and Prejudice
I'm talking about the 2005 version. You know how I love P&P so it comes as no surprise that the movie adaptation fits on this list. Keira is lovely, Matthew awkwardly handsome, the picture was BEAUTIFUL and the soundtrack gorgeous.

8. Moulin Rouge
Oh, god this movie. I loved it. I still do. I want to marry this movie. Seriously. It’s perfect. It’s got comedy, music, great acting, beautiful costumes, interesting plot line with lovely camera work. I remember I was allowed to watch it after my parents finished watching a movie of their own (which was long and I had school in the morning) and I stayed up ‘till 2am, crying my heart out. Good times.

Now, if I'm completely honest, there are about 10 – 20 more movies I'd like to include on this list, but I've decided against it. There are a lot more comedies, dramas, action and fantasy movies in my head, but I think we've had enough. Thank you for being here with me. Take care!

With love, Nani.
