Hello, everyone!

So, I have done a few articles already, but I thought it was time for an introduction of who I am. Also, I thought it would be a little fun to play a game. I will give two truths and a lie. As you read, you can try to figure out the truth and I will reveal to correct answer at the end. Let's get started!

1.) I have been to over half of the United States and six countries

2.) I met Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) at a prescreening of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

3.) I unintentionally swam with a small family of wild manatees

Keep reading to find out which statements are true and which is false!

To start, I shall get the basics out of the way. My name is Ciera and I am a twentysomething female from Colorful Colorado! I love living in the shadows of the Rocky Mountains, but I would trade them for the ocean any day (hopefully I do not get kicked out of Colorado with that statement). Warm sunshine on my face, the relaxing melody of waves, and soft beach sand between my toes is my ideal “happy place.” Not to mention, the wildlife can be a bit…unexpected! ;)

I find that I can easily lose myself in music, books, and travel. I love listening to artist and bands from all different genres, but my home is in alternative and rock. My tops include Halsey, Bastille, The Beatles, and Thirty Second to Mars.

Books are one of my favorite ways to escape my somewhat crazy world. Like my taste in music, my taste in books are just as eclectic. Since high school, I have thoroughly enjoyed reading classic literature now that the threat of tests are no longer looming in the background. The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas is my favorite. However, some of my all time favorite series have been Game of Thrones, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, The Hunger Games, and I will forever be die hard Harry Potter fan (enough to be at a prescreening where Tom Felton is? Maybe….).

The love and appreciation of traveling is one value I will always thank my parents for instilling in me. My childhood was spent in the car trekking across states on family roundtrips or squished on a plane set for far away destinations. Hands down, the most amazing place I have had the pleasure to explore would be Italy. The countryside, the food, and the history all left me breathless and craving more!

In the veins of Stephen Covey, my motto in life is to live by a compass, not a clock. I want to collect beautiful moments and to never stop growing as a person. Most importantly, I want to be a kind person. How you treat others ultimately reveals your true self. And in the end, all we have is who we are.

Alright everyone, this is the moment of truth! Did you guess my lie? Have I been to the majority of the United States as well as six countries? Do you think I met the one and only Draco Malfoy? Or did I have an unexpected swim with wild manatees? "Ahem drum roll please.” The lie was…

Meeting Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy)

Sadly, I have not met the notorious Draco Malfoy. I did go to a prescreening of the Oder of the Phoenix and saw Tom Felton there, but there was no face-to-face meeting. However, I did accidently start clapping too soon when he was giving a speech (the prescreening was a charity event and Felton was speaking about it) and was on the receiving end of a classic Draco glare.True story. Luckily, he did not tell his father about it.
