As someone who has been suffering from anxiety for the past 2 years, I must say that it is essential for you to keep in mind that is almost impossible to get TOTALLY rid of it... You will have bad times and good times. What matters is that you learn how to deal with your emotions/feelings/sensations during a crisis. For that reason, I made this list with tips that I considered helpful to me.

1. Learn how to accept your intrusive thoughts. Do not try to avoid them. You will think about it even more and it will consume you. Instead, allow yourself to think and don't take it seriously

2. If you feel like you're about to have a panic attack, ask someone for help. Preferably a friend or a family member. They'll know how to help you

3. Talk to a therapist. You will feel better. If she/he says that you must take medication, do it. Sometimes it is really necessary and tbh it helped me a lot

4. Take some time for yourself and do your favorite activities: watch a tv show, eat some ice cream, go shopping, take a warm bath, go to the beach, etc.

5. Be nice to everyone especially your friends. They're going to be there for you during this process. Treat them well and don't be afraid to open up with them

6. Drink lots of water and eat properly. Trust me you will feel a lot better

7. Remind yourself EVERYDAY that your mental illness does not define you. Your actions do.
