Social media portrays relationships as easy breezy and as though it's supposed to some kind of magic that fixes your life. Relationships take hard work on both sides. Long lasting relationships require forgiveness and communication. You have to be willing to listen to your partner. You could have two completely different ideas relating to your relationship. Make sure you're on the same page and hearing each other out. It sucks to be in a relationship where you feels as though you're not being heard. If you can't talk to your partner about serious things or they don't want to listen, the truth is you don't need to be in one. You have to be able to deal with another person's emotions because it's not just about you anymore. Something most people don't want to do or simply aren't able to do is forgive. I'm not saying forgive them if they're abusive in any way, please don't stay. What i'm saying is sometimes people say things they don't mean or in the heat of the moment say things in a manner they don't mean. THINGS HAPPEN and life will go on. You'll either forgive them and grow stronger in your relationship or you'll keep starting over.
