For those of you who don't know, I have created a 30-day challenge for myself. I will be posting an answer every day for the month of September to let my fantastic followers, and anyone else who is interested, know a little bit more about me! #WhiChallenge

Here's a link to my original article of all the questions I will be answering-

  • 11. Describe 10 pet peeves that you have.

**Before I go into detail of just a few things that bug me, I would just like to say that I do not wish to anger anyone with my answers. These are simply answers to the next question in my #WhiChallenge and are not aimed at anyone specifically. I hope I do not come across as rude as that is not my intent.

1) Loud Chewing And/Or Crunching Or Swallowing

The sounds of others eating absolutely irks me! There has been a study that defines that the hatred of the sound of chewing and other similar sounds is categorized as a mind disorder called Misophonia. I'm not looking for a diagnosis, I've had enough of that for a lifetime, but it is nice to know that I am not alone in my hatred of certain sounds.

2) Reckless Driving

When you are driving on the road, you are not just responsible for yourself but also the others who share the road. That being said, reckless driving is, to me, a sign of not caring about others and simply showing immaturity. Excessive speeding, swerving and tailgating all bug the heck out of me.

3) When Others Cause Me To Be Late

Especially if it is specifically my thing that I am being made late for. This is why I can't wait to get my license. I'm not one to easily depend on others.

4) When someone eats something off my plate, or takes a sip of my drink, without asking first

If you ask, I'll probably give you the go ahead. I don't mind sharing. Otherwise, it's rude.

5) "No Offense"

When someone says "no offense" and then proceeds to say something really offensive. As if that changes anything! Your comment is most likely still scalding.

6) Blatant Disrespect

My parents brought me up to show respect where respect is due. Teachers, those in authority, those with disabilities, parents, anyone who shows you respect all deserve respect in return in my book. Disrespect should have no place in our world.

7) When a group of people takes up the entire walking space.

I'm a speed-walker cause that's how my dad would charge through the state fair and my short self would have to try to keep up. Now, if we're at an amusement park, I'll get you from point A to point B in a flash if you'll let me. MOVE.

8) Interruptions

More specifically, when someone interrupts me when I'm talking and it's completely off topic. I understand if you are adding in your agreement, comment, or objection to my conversation. I welcome participation and opinions, certainly! However, if it is not related in any way, it's more like you do not care what I have to say and think your topic is more important than mine to wait. Frankly, it's rude.

9) Bad Grammar**

**I completely understand if English is not your first language and you are still learning the absolutely strange, confusing, and downright wacky "system" that makes up good English grammar.

I used to be horrible at grammar. Eventually, after having everyone constantly correcting me, I became the grammar police myself. I don't get mad if the grammar is incorrect. There is simply a voice in my head that longs to "fix" it. But, don't sweat it if grammar is not your thing. I still mess up all the time.

10) When someone is on their phone when you are trying to communicate with them.

All I'm saying about this one is that it is respectful to pay attention.

Thanks for reading my article! Again, I hope I didn't come across as rude. I normally don't mention my pet peeves cause I think it kind of sounds like complaining. But, it was part of my #WhiChallenge so I answered. I hope you understand.
