Boss Boos,

I wanted to come and peel the band-aid off of a topic that I've slightly touched on before: simply being unbothered. As a girl boss, a ton of sh*t will piss you off (including people or even your day not going the way you want it to). Now, over the years I've dealt with so many frustrating situations and I'm here to give you the tea and the tips!

1. Embody the words "unbothered and focused" with your walk and talk.

This one actually sounds like common sense, but many fail to realize the power of body language and how it can work in your favor. If you're confident and on your sh*t, you don't have time for anything else. Be graceful, be smooth, be focused on your goal for the day. It'll ward off the distractions, I promise.

2. Know when enough is enough

You know when you've had enough and when you're about to explode if you find yourself in a heated situation. Don't let anyone get you to that point. Withdraw from the interaction if you have to.

3. Ensure that gossip has no place in your day to day

The easiest way to find yourself in frustrating situations is gossiping. The last thing an unbothered lady does is involve herself in other people's drama.

4. Be a trailblazer

Do your own thing. Make your own mark. Don't worry about what everyone else is doing.

5. Recognize that you don't have to be a people pleaser

Part of being unbothered is understanding that not everyone will agree with you. Don't be afraid to say no to something that doesn't sit right with you. You'll sleep better at night.
