CLICK HERE for Top 10 Movie Chokers!

You might remember a weird, kooky outfit that Phoebe may have worn on Friends, when it's simply a tactic to draw viewers in with personality. The gorgeous women of television can draw anybody into a TV show, past and present, and that extra neck candy really comes in handy when trying to make a woman look attractive, yet we cannot see her whole outfit for most of the time.

For this list, I will give you my top 10 hottest chokers ever gracing the small screen. Shows such as dramas and sitcoms are considered, while talk shows, game shows, news shows and reality shows are for another article in the future. I have come across quite the lookers here, so if I looked like any of these women on this list, I would just scream.

Katrina Bowden as Cerie
30 Rock
Season 1, Episode 4 - "Jack The Writer"

beads, choker, and dress image

Hey, hands off her! We start off hot with this outfit from an episode of 30 Rock. Just look at those rocks! This is how sugar was invented: A cute young blonde wearing a pink purple dress and pearls. In an era where cute “girly” looks have been phased out by then, this really makes quite a statement. I especially like how her beads are a solid white, which look better with other styles than how real pearls would look. Put her on, Tina Fey’s character.

Karyn Parsons as Hilary Banks
Fresh Prince of Bel-Air
Season 4, Episode 14 - "Sleepless In Bel-Air"

Afro, choker, and curly hair image

For 6 seasons, Hilary Banks made the red business suit in style. Red is the boldest color on the color spectrum, so she certainly has our attention. But damn, not only her face but her entire head! There is something I just love about velvet chokers and curly fros. Just go to any interview with that outfit and she’ll get the job.

IU as Cindy
Season 1, Episode 1

iu, kpop, and lee jieun image

IU is an extremely beautiful Korean pop artist and actress. Producers was a mini series that was pretty much the K Pop equivalent to Nashville or Empire. You can pretty much buy thirty of this choker for 2 bucks from a Chinese distributor, but it compliments her so well here! Think of that small black bead as a miniature wrecking ball set to demolish all expectations. In this scene, she argues with a network executive about her outfit being too revealing for TV. Naw, you’re fine girl!

Shannen Doherty as Brenda Walsh
Beverly Hills 90210
Season 3, Episode 24 - "Perfectly Perfect"

This show displayed tons and tons of different chokers, especially in the final season. Maybe some day I'll do a top 10 list of chokers from that show alone. But Brenda’s choker from this particular episode is just so big and bold; just how could you ignore it? And just how has Shannen managed to contain her excitement over her own studliness for all those years?

Lori Loughlin as Becky Donaldson
Full House
Season 7, Episode 7 - "High Anxiety"

90s, brunette, and choker image

This bohemian outfit is to die for! When you’re as hot as Lori Loughlin, how could you wear something like that only once or twice? Who knew an amber charm can look so smart and sexy on a woman? Imagine if she wore this with other outfits. I love these simpler chokers because they can be worn for any occasion, from the boardroom to the bedroom.

Paulie Perrette as Abby Sciuto
Season 4, Episode 11 - "Driven"

bangs, choker, and goth image

When you are one of the greatest forensic specialists on earth, you can wear anything you damn well please! So Abby wears chokers. She actually wears a different one every episode, but of all the hundreds of collars that she's worn, I've found this one to be the hottest. Most punk collars with studs on them look tacky to most people, but this one’s definitely on another level with narrow studs and a higher quality leather. I especially love when she turns her head in it. RAWR!

Christina Appelgate as Kelly Bundy
Married...With Children
Season 7, Episode 17 - "You Can't Miss"

90s, blonde, and sitcom image

No I can't. Hubba f'n hubba! Kelly Bundy was a dumb blonde in her sitcom, but whoever was responsible for her wardrobe clearly was not paid enough. Christina wore dozens of hot chokers during the show's existence, especially in season 7, but this cameo flipped the switch on a snug black dress and turned it into an extremely classy look. Who wouldn't want a fun, romantic evening with this girl?

Kristen Johnson as Sally Solomon
3rd Rock From The Sun
Season 3, Episode 15 - "36! 24! 26! Dick! (Part 2)"

choker, dress, and hair image

This was a special Super Bowl episode, and yes, all their episodes have "Dick" in the title because that is who the main character is called. But brainwashed and become a soldier of the Venusians, Sally has the look of a ruthless killer with that ginormous choker! It makes her stone cold expression that much colder. Too bad this necklace didn't give her real superpowers because what would follow is one of the worst choreographed "fights" I have ever seen in TV.

Helen McCrory as Evelyn Poole
Penny Dreadful
Season 1, Episode 2 - "Seance"

penny dreadful and madame kali image

My stars! If I didn’t know better, I’d say that scarab around her neck has transformed her into a sexy super villain that conquers galaxies! The fashion designer for this outfit has done a fantastic job to say the least. Both the velvet ribbon and large green scarab are just the right size to be huge in presense yet still tight around her neck. The fact that the velvet ribbon is slightly wider is too hot for words.

Edith Gonzales as Mónica de Altamira
Corazon Salvaje
Season 1, Various Episodes

choker, cross, and dress image

This big, bold necklace looks like it belonged to a queen! And god she looks like royalty in it! This show was a Mexican soap opera in the early 90s and was also a period piece. She was absolutely gorgeous, wore extravagant dresses, and had some unusual, yet attractive wavy hairstyles, and that cross was what made her perfect looks even better! She wore it over a dozen times during the series, then it disappeared entirely. I guess viewers were complaining that she broke their TVs for looking so ravishing.

Upon doing research for this article, it was confirmed earlier this year that poor Edith had been diagnosed with cancer. Please give your well wishes to her as she kicks cancer's butt. She's still looking great at age 52!

So there you have it, TV land, bring more of these to TV!

Did you enjoy this list? I plan to do more top 10 articles in the future about hot neckwear in shows, movies, celebs, and even cartoons, comic books and video games. I appreciate the support of all my followers on WHI. Which reminds me...

  • I watched something on Christmas morning in 2003 but I did not know what it was and was not able to find out (other family member had the clicker).
  • I wasn't sure if it was a film, a TV episode, or a TV movie, but it was staged like a sitcom.
  • There was a girl in her mid teens that was wearing a blue velvet dress and a gorgeous cross on a velvet ribbon tied around her neck; she even put it on during a scene.
  • There was also a younger boy, who talked to a weird anthropomorphic character (like Mike Myers as Cat In The Hat) who would teleport right in and out of scenes.

Anyone who has an idea about this, I'd love to hear about it via DM & it would REALLY help me out.
