Monsta X (몬스타엑스) consists of seven members: Shownu, Wonho, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, Jooheon, and I.M. They were created through a survival show called "NO.MERCY" under Starship Entertainment.

Son Hyunwoo (손현우), stage name Shownu (셔누), is the oldest and the leader of the group. His positions include main dancer, vocalist, and of course, the leader. He was born on June 18, 1992 in Seoul, South Korea.
