We are all familiar with weight gain and bloating when overdoing on french fries, pizza or donuts. But the harm of eating junk food on a regular basis is far more serious than you think.
1.IT CAN TRIGGER DIGESTIVE PROBLEMS. Very poor in nutrients, such as fiber, junk food cannot be fully digested in the stomach which leads to deposition on the walls of the stomach.
2.MAKES YOU MORE HUNGRY. Although junk food makes you feel satisfied for a while, it lacks good carbohidrates and proteins which makes you feel irritable and increases your junk food cravings.
3. IT INCREASES THE RISK OF CANCER. It's lack of fiber and high content of sugar and fat is the main reason why junk food is connected with cancer in the digestive system.
4. IT CAN DAMAGE YOUR LIVER. Trans fat, found in most junk foods can cause liver dysfunction and deposition in the liver.
5. IT CAN CAUSE KIDNEY DESEASE. Since the kidney have to filter all the toxins from the blood, eating a lot of junk food has a direct effect on the kidney functioning because fries and chips are loaded with sodium and bad fats.
6. IT INCREASES THE RISK OF HEART DESEASES. Trans and saturated fats increase the bad cholesterol and spikes up the blood lever sugars. This makes you gain more weight and the more weight you put on, the higher your risk of suffering form heart attack.
7. IT AFFECTS YOUR BRAIN FUNCTIONS. The main fuel for our brain is carbohydrates. Junk food with its trans fats and sugar can't supply the brain and you're more likely to forger faster.
