I realised the other day that I have never really had any role models in the media. Sure, I have looked to characters and books for guidance but until recently, I never really had any one celebrity that I looked up to and thought 'I want to be just like them, they inspire me'. The other day I found an unlikely role model. Looking through Millie Bobby Brown's twitter page I found myself thinking that this is exactly the type of person I would want my little cousins looking up to. Maddie Ziegler and Millie not only are very talented and hard working at what they do but also stand up for what they believe in, campaign for girls, and are strong girls who we need our younger generation aspiring to be like. They inspire people to not only work hard to follow your dreams, but to be kind, and to stand up for what you believe in. They inspire me. They are young but they are taking over the world.
People are quick to dismiss teenage girls, they say we are tasteless, 'bitchy', 'basic'. But we are strong, and kind, and beautiful, and with people like Millie and Maddie representing us in the media, we are showing the world exactly what we are. Soon we won't have to fight as hard to prove ourselves, because together we are strong.

Love, Ella xx
