Hey Pretty People!:3~

This is my first ever article on WHI and I wanted it to be a memorable one. So I decided to share my thoughts and experience of trying to fit in.

The school year has just started for many people and for many others, they are starting high school.

I started high school back in 2016 and now I'm a sophomore.

Back when I was a freshman, I felt very left out. I'm a person who does not know anything that's going on in social media.

I (plz don't laugh at me) am into Kpop. And that's really all I spend my time on.

So I had a hard time trying to make new friends because 1) I am really shy and awkward when it coms to talking to new people and 2) what do I talk about???

Everyone says to make new friends, try to talk about interest that both you and the person share.

But the only thing I put all my attention to is Kpop and i know the other person doesn't listen to it at all, so what do I do?

I had such a hard time, that in the end I didn't really made new friends. I made a few, but most of the time in my classes, I personally didn't know anyone.

I hated when we had it to get into groups, and I see everyone already scrambling to their friends, when I'm the only one who is just sitting there, not knowing what to do.

And my shyness is to blame for that. I'm super shy and I hate it.

I wish I was more confident like other people, but I'm not. I'm shy and it's really hard for to start up a conversation first.

But now as a sophomore in high school, even though it's only the 2nd week of school, I made progress(:

I learn to not be so shy anymore, so I actually talked to someone first!

It might not be a big deal to you, but for me, it is(:

I feel like trying to fit in is a bit hard. Personally for me, I was embarrassed to expose my interest in Kpop, but now I don't really care anymore.

A true friend is someone who doesn't really mind what different interests you have from them.

So please don't be scared when to tell someone an interest or hobby you have, that you think will throw someone off.

Just be yourself, and if the person is a douche and doesn't accept who you are, don't bother with them.

There are plenty of awesome people at school who like you the way you are!

Sorry if this article wasn't interesting. I thought it would be a good topic to talk about, so i really hope you enjoyed it.

I'll try to write more interesting and better articles in the future, until then. . .
