See the Eiffel Tower

This wrought iron lattice tower, was built as the entrance to the 1889 World’s Fair and was not intended to be permanent. The Eiffel Tower was going to be demolished in 1909, but was saved because it was repurposed as a giant radio antenna. Initially, it was criticized by some of France’s leading artists and intellectuals for its design but it has become a global cultural icon of France and one of the most recognizable structures in the world. The Eiffel Tower is the most visited paid monument in the world.

Visit the Louve Museum

A visit to Paris is worth nothing if you have not let your eyes rest in respectful awe on the Mona Lisa, the Venus de Milo and some of the other timeless works by Monet, Renoir, Van Gogh and other great masters. You’ll find these exquisite works of art and much more at the Louvre. The Louvre is the world’s largest museum and it is a central landmark of Paris. The museum offers 380,000 art pieces from prehistory to the 21st century that are exhibited in an area of 782,910 square feet. It is so big that it is impossible to see all the museum has to offer in one visit. How long would it take you? If you ever have 100 days to spare, you could see every piece of art, but you could only spend 30 seconds on each piece, and that’s if you were there all day, every day. Originally, the Louvre was not a museum. It was a fortress that was built in 1190.
