This is an affordable makeup routine that I think is suited for school. I recommend all the products, especially the base products for oily, acne prone skin. If your are just looking for products they are in italics. There are also tips on how to keep the makeup on during the day and skincare tips for school at the end. I don't do this everyday, and sometimes just wear powder and a little mascara, but this is for days when I have time.

1. Skincare and Primer

I always wash my face with Cetaphil Sensitive Facewash and moisturise with either Lush Celestial if my skin feels too dry or (a cheaper, better product) Simple Light Moistoriser. I don't wear primer to school because I honestly can't ever be bothered to but I would recommend Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser.

2. Base

With a damp real techniques sponge I always use the Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream. This is suited for any skin type and is natural whilst having coverage. I use it quite sparingly and it still works well. A drugstore concealer I recommend is Maybelline Fit Me! but for concealer I always try to splurge on a high end one, as I think they are better and the colours are suited more towards my skin tone.

3. Powder

With BB cream I use a light translucent powder, I use Rimmel Clear Complexion Transparent Powder. It's very natural and does not disturb the BB cream.

4. Contour and Highlight

I like a really natural contour at school because I don't have time to do a proper contour and make it look good. I use Collection Contour Stick. This is easy to use and blend out, I blend it out with a damp beauty blender. If it is applying dry, I spray the stick with some rosewater. I use it on my cheeks, forehead and a tiny bit on my nose. For highlight there are 2 drugstore options. One is a Sleek Highlighting Palette (I use Cleopatra's Kiss) and there are many palette options for skintone. They are £10 in the UK, so a cheaper alternative which i recommend is Makeup Revolution Highlighter. I use the colour golden lights but there are alternatives for different skintones. I use highlight on my cheekbones and nose.

5. Eyebrows

I have dark eyebrows that don't need filling in everyday so I use the e.l.f Clear Brow & Lash Crystal Clear Mascara to keep my eyebrows in place. I honestly can only recommend one product for filling in your brows (that isn't drugstore) which is the Anastasia Brow Wiz. I haven't successfully found a drugstore brow product I recommend but obviously you can find a lot of reviews online.

6. Eyes

I use a browny-red eyeshadow on my lid and a little underneath my eyes. I use a dark brown on my lashline to thicken it. I can't recommend one palette by makeup revolution but a few to look at and try are Makeup Revolution Palette Flawless 3 Resurrection, Makeup Revolution Redemption Palette Iconic 3, and smaller quads to try are Rimmel Quads. If you are looking for a really cheap palette in the UK I would look at the brand MUA, they have some very cheap palettes for cheap.

7. Mascara

I don't use mascara everyday because it's a product I hate applying and taking off.. If I use it, I always curl my lashes and use the Loreal Volume Million Lashes Waterproof Mascara, which I recommend if you want the appearance of a lot of lashes. I only use it on my top lashes, as mascara on my lower lashes personally makes me look tired.

8. Lips

And lastly for lips I always use a browny-red colour very lightly. I recommend the NYX Professional Makeup Suede Matte Lip Liner in Stockholm or Cannes. I use these around the edge of my lips and then use a gentle lip balm to make the look more natural.

Tips for your Makeup/Skin at School

If you have oily skin, bring blotting sheets, they are a life saver.
Always bring your powder to reapply
Drink water and eat during the day, you will not look and feel as bad at the end of the day, I at least at dried fruit during school
If you have sports, don't wear base makeup that day, wipe over your face and apply it after if you want to, sweating and not washing your face (especially with makeup on) can cause breakouts, so I tend to not really try in sports
