As a grade 8 student, I know how hard it is to stay organized for school. It's the same thing every year. You start off with notebooks looking fresh brand new. Plain binders with lined paper placed nicely inside. Locker looking like it came straight out of Tumblr.

But by the end of the year, your school work looks like a disaster. Papers and important notes falling out of your binders. Lockers filled with five different running shoes you don't need and that apple that you lost at the beginning year, rotten attracting bugs and other insects.

Trust me, I know. Here are tips on how to keep your school work and locker organized and clean!

~AGENDA/BULLET JOURNAL
This is definitely one of my favorites. I love keeping a bullet journal to keep track of important assignments and projects due. Not only that but it's a good way to keep track of your mental health too!

~NOTES
For me personally writing notes in different colors helps me understand them. I make sure to highlight in bright colors, underline, add diagrams, and add fun stickers and page markers. If this method doesn't work you can try flash cards or you can find lessons where someone teaches you the information on places like Khan Academy or even places like Youtube.

~PENCIL CASE
I've seen lots of people bring pencil cases to school, bring it home then forget it the next day making the teacher mad at you. Try having a pencil case at home and one at school. It makes things so much easier and simplier. The pencil case at home doesn't need to be fancy, buy pencils and erasers from your local dollar store for a very low price but medium quality.

~HOMEWORK
every single day there is at least three kids in my class who forget their homework but also come to school late. Try packing your bag the night before, so if you're running late in the morning you at least know that packing your bag won't take extra time because you did it the night before. SET AN ALARM. I've told so many people this. Set an alarm to wake you up in the morning. Set the time depending on your routine.

For example, my school starts at 9:15 am and I have to catch the school bus at 8:53 am. I need to be at my bus stop at around 8:40 to make sure I catch my bus. Not only that but I also have to catch it with my little brother that has ADHD, so it makes it a little more difficult. I wake up at 7:00 am every morning to make sure everything is done by 8:40 am to make sure we get out the door.

so make sure to plan your alarm based on your routine.
