I don't like writing but I thought I'd try this article feature
also, this is not an official guide to bullet journaling there are many ways to do it and you can check out the official bujo site (bulletjournal.com)
What's a Bullet Journal?
The Bullet Journal website describes it as a
customizable and forgiving organization system. It can be your to-do list, sketchbook, notebook, and dairy, but most likely, it will be all of the above.
so it's like a very customizable and flexible planner.
Picking Your Journal
First, you need to pick a notebook
the Moleskine and Leuchtturm1917 notebooks are very popular for bullet journaling but to be honest, the brand of your notebook doesn't change anything but the type of paper does matter. A Lot.
You can choose from 4 types of paper
- blank
- grid
- lined
- dotted

Starting Your Journal
Key & Index
Most people make the first page of a bullet journal the key
The key page includes the little signifiers or bullets you will use in your bullet journal like the task symbol and the event symbol among other symbols
you can also use a color coding system

after the key, you can make an index
the index can take up a few pages or one page depending on your preference
also, don't forget to number your pages
Future Log
After the key and the index, I like to make a future log

you can mark birthdays, exams, travels and other important events in your future log or you can just use it like a calendar
Monthly Log/Spread
The monthly log is an overview of your month where you can write down what you have in a month
- Birthdays
- Appointments
- Travels
- Events
- Games/Music/Movies/Tv Shows releases
- To-Do lists
- Goals for the month

Weekly Spread
the weekly spread is an overview of your week where you write down the days of the week in little sections with space under or next to them to write your tasks ( so this is where your bullets from the key)
you can customize your weekly spread however you like

I've made another part for customization, decoration and other things you can put in your bujo that I've collected
