Holding Up the Universe by Jennifer Niven.

Holding Up the Universe is a book about a girl named Libby who struggles with loss and anxiety, and we follow her as she finds her way in the world - and on the way, she finds love too. It is beautifully written, in a way that you won't feel like reading it is a chore. With each small chapter being from Libby's and then Jack's perspective, you can easily read one and then put the book down if you wish... or read one, and then another, and then another until you finish the book like I did!

The author, Jennifer Niven, is most famous for her best-seller book 'All the Bright Places'. By the time she was 10, she had already established a great passion for writing, and says that her mother Penelope Niven has always encouraged it. By 2000, Niven started writing full time and hasn't stopped since. She has now written 9 books, and is working on the 10th. Her most important piece of advice to young writers is to read, write, read and write again!

I think this book would the perfect read for anybody who struggles with body image issues, or isn't sure who they are yet. Nobody is really sure in the big scheme of things, but if its getting you down then I definitely recommend this book - Libby (the protagonist) will help you through!

If you have any book recommendations, or would like to talk about anything in the book with me, feel free to send me a message! I reply to all :)

I hope you enjoy Holding Up the Universe if you end up reading it, and enjoy the rest of your day.
