Fall is my favourite season. All the leaves from the trees and plants change into multi-coloured works of art and fall away. It creates bare, and vulnerable branches, revealing the true scenery underneath. It also represents a beautiful cycle of loss, regeneration and regrowth once the spring season comes around. There are many reasons why I love fall and why I think it's the best season, but here are just a few.

“Autumn is the hardest season. The leaves are all falling, and they're falling like they're falling in love with the ground.”
― Andrea Gibson

1. The Leaves

When you think autumn you think leaves. Leaves turning to set the world ablaze with colour, leaves falling to crunch underfoot, leaves raked into piles to play in, and just leaves galore!

2. Hot coffee, hot cocoa and hot tea

Fall is the perfect time to fix yourself a hot cup of almost anything! Hardly anything beats a warm cup of tea and a nice long book. Whether you're a coffee, tea, cocoa, or cider type of person it all hits the spot during autumn!

3. Fall fashion

It's hard to beat comfy sweaters and worn in boots. I love the clothes that you get to wear in autumn, especially leggings and cozy socks. The clothes are super comfortable and keep you cozy as the weather gets cooler.

4. Fall scented candles

The smell of fall scented candles are a blessing in this life! I love the smell of all the herbs and spices mixed together. Little else is better at putting you in the autumn mood than a deliciously scented candle.

5. Halloween

I have always loved Halloween because I love spooky things. I love watching movies that are Halloween themed or are just plain scary. I love folklore, dressing up in costumes, eating sweets, and carving pumpkins. This is just one of those holidays that I enjoy celebrating and have lots of fun while doing it.

6. Cooler weather

Down here in Bucharest, Romania the summers are as hot as Apollo and the winters are as cold as the North Pole, so the reprieve of autumn really hits the spot. The rainy days are perfect for readers and the foggy mornings are nice and peaceful(even if it does look like zombie apocalypse weather).

7. Fall makeup

Dark lipstick, smokey eyes and bright highlighter to blind the haters. It sounds perfect to me!

9. Book fairs

I don't know about you, but in Bucharest there's a book fair every year in November that lasts a week, called Gaudeamus. Since I am a bookworm, I try to buy at least five books from this fair, so I can read them sipping from a cup of hot chocolate.

10. Pumpkin everything

It's just that time of the year when Starbucks rocks with the pumpkin spice lattes. However, anything that contains pumpkin during autumn is pure happiness (pies, lotion body, candies, candles).

11. Everything seems more mysterious

When you wake up in the morning, getting ready for school and you step outside your house, you see the fog that makes you believe you're part of a scary movie, but you love it.

12. Christmas is just around the corner

Though a lot of people complain that Christmas stuff starts popping up in stores way too early. I respectfully agree to disagree. I love Christmas (it's my favourite holiday), so bring out the Christmas songs on the day of Thanksgiving, decorate your houses as soon as the turkey has been put away, and fill all the towns with Christmas cheer because I love some holiday spirit! Autumn for me means that Christmas isn't far off, and that's music to my ears!
