Picking up where my "Childhood Memories" article left off, I was just thinking of some things that those of us who were children in the 1970's experienced that today's young people don't. Things like black and white TV's and having to get up to change the channel and adjust the volume on the TV's. There were pay phones and no caller ID. There were record clubs and 8 track tapes and scratchy records. There was aluminum foil on rabbit ears. All the TV channels went off the air at midnight right after the national anthem was played. And oh, the frustration of the tape literally coming out of your cassette tapes! Today's young people will never know that frustration.
