Hello, lovely people! I've decided to make one article a week based on the music I've listened to throughout the week! Hopefully, you'll find a new favorite song or realize that we have similar music tastes haha. I'll leave a link to every song so you can go check it out :)

"Capsize" by Frenship ft. Emily Warren

"Yeah I'm fine, drop tears in the morning, give in to the lonely, yeah, here comes with no warning..."

This song may have come out almost a year ago, but I didn't discover it until about a week ago thanks to Spotify. The song essentially is a conversation between two past lovers. I personally love the music video for this song because you can almost feel the emotion coming from the two people in the music video.

"DNA." by Kendrick Lamar

"I got, I got, I got, I got, loyalty got royalty inside my DNA..."

Let me set this straight: I am an Alternative music fan all the way. I know you're thinking, "If you're an Alternative fan, then why do you have a rap song on this list?" The answer is...actually, I don't really know haha. It was on the Spotify playlist I was listening to and for some reason, it just stuck with me since the first time I listened to it.

"Not My Head" by Patrick Kai

"Maybe I'm crazy, but part of me lately, wants to follow you maybe..."

Partick Kai is a relatively new artist. He only has one song out, and it's not even on iTunes. That song is no other than "Not My Head." The song gives me very strong rock music vibes. The drums, handclaps, and the piano chords in the background make this a song I would have on repeat. The lyrics are also inspirational.

"Shangri-La" by Caitlyn Scarlett

"Paradise awaits, only for the lonely, the escapists, and the brave..."

Caitlyn Scarlett has been making music since 2014. Her song "Shangri-La" is off of her new EP that came out earlier this year. The song is about escaping reality and running off to a paradise world. I've listened to her new EP in its entirety and I can't wait to hear more from her in the future.

"do re mi" by blackbear

"If I could go back to the day we met, I probably would just stay in bed..."

No words can describe how much I love this song. I've been a fan of blackbear for a while, and some of my favorite songs from him are "Girls Like U" and "Deadroses." The song is about him (blackbear) being absolutely done with his spoiled and entitled significant other. Trust me, you'll have this on repeat (just like me lol).

That's all for this week. I wrote this article the day Articles came out which is on a Thursday. However, future Songs of the Week articles will come out every Friday evening :)

Until next time,
