Hello my name is Joanna. This is my fourth review post with 5 more movie reviews. Enjoy!

1. The Hunger Games (2012), Catching Fire (2013), Mockingjay 1&2 (2014; 2015)

hunger games, katniss everdeen, and Jennifer Lawrence image

Starring:
Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson

Plot:
The Districts of Panem randomly select 24 contestants (12 boys and 12 girls) called “tributes” each year as a punishment for a past rebellion to compete in the hunger games- a televised event in which the participants fight to death.

Review:
The plot merely describes the first of four. I have both read the books and watched the movies and I have to say that it is very rare to have a movie that resembles the book in so many ways. Although the books are written from Katniss’ perspective, not only Jennifer Lawrence’s acting makes up for it but also the great visual effects and the amazing visualization of Stephanie Meyers creative mind from the books. (My favourite is Catching Fire though.)

Rating: 9/10

2. Mean Girls (2004)

Plot:
Cady Heron moves from Africa to America and is confronted with all the different types of cliques a high school could offer. She meets The Plastics and soon becomes one of them, despite trying to expose their mean attitudes in the first place.

Review:
I don’t know why I even put this movie on here because really you should have watched this already. It’s a classic. The Queen of chick flicks. Once you’ve watched this you’ll be quoting soooooo many lines because this movie is “so fetch!”.

Rating: 8/10

3. Point Break (2015)

Review:
This is kind of a different movie but it’s full of adventure and action. I really liked it and it has a really good story line in my opinion. It’s one of those movies that people either really like or dislike. Decide for yourself.

Rating: 8/10

4. The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas (2008)

Plot:

Review:
I was surprised by how good the movie was… I didn’t expect it to be so funny. The singing is amazing and the animals are synchronized by so many amazing actors with great voices. And may I say that Tori Kelly will blow you away (as usual).

Rating: 7/10
