안녕하세요~

I am debating of whether or not to write various articles over multiple theories I have read or even thought of myself. There are, of course, thousands of theories that continues to accumulate with each and every passing BTS comeback. So many that I find myself to become lost or forget the ones I have read in the past. I want to straighten each and every theory I read or come up with and to write them out, explaining them thoroughly not just for myself, but for others as well (if they choose to even read them lmao). More and more ARMYs do not know of the theories behind the comebacks and how it is like one continuous complex story so...if you're like me who loves the theories and the heartfelt storyline, then feel free to read. I do not own this theory. I have found it long ago and I want to share it to those who don't know.

BTS THEORY PT. 1: JIN IS DEAD
BTS I Need U, Prologue, and Run

In the HYYH Era, we have the song I Need U that is most likely surrounded by the famous theory that Jin is dead. Jin being dead and the rest of the members are having a hard time coping with the fact. We have Jin dressed in white, alone in a room with six flower petals that are said to represent the remaining members. With him being dead, he had to leave his fellow members/best friends behind.

In the Western culture, white is seen as a symbol of innocence, purity, and cleanliness, etc., but in Eastern cultures, it just so happens to represent death. "...In China, Korea, and some other Asian countries white represents death, mourning, and bad luck, and is traditionally worn at funerals." During "I Need U", we look at each perspective of the members who had just lost their best friend. Each member appears to be lost in thought. Possibly in shock from what has happened. This sometimes being a common initial reaction along with the 5 stages of grief that includes anger, denial, bargaining, depression, and acceptance.

Here we have Suga (Min Yoongi)

-Playing with fire (Keep in mind that fire and the lighter in his hand makes a common appearance throughout BTS's eras)
-Fire could be representing of fiery emotions that includes: lust, love, hate, passion, empathy, and anger.

Next, J-Hope (Jung Hoseok)

-The common appearance of pills in his hands or near him
-Pills being taken for maybe a condition he has (Possibly depression?)
-Pills being taken simultaneously at once indicating he is suicidal
-In the MV, he passes out from taking the pills

Next, Jimin (Park Jimin)

-Jimin always being surrounded by water whether it be him in the notorious bathtub we always see, by the ocean, or in the rain (hinting towards "Highlight Reel" where he is soaked from the rain)
-He could possibly be suicidal like J-Hope throughout the storyline (Possibly going through depression as well)

It appears that either of them are suicidal or contemplates the idea. It seems that no one actually goes through with it except J-Hope who in the MV passes out from taking the pills (possibly the cause being an overdose) but ends up surviving through it.

Next, Rap Monster (Kim Namjoon)

-The symbol of him with a lollipop always appearing
-Seems like he is trying to live a normal life by going back to work as if nothing has ever happened (Possibly in the stage of denial)

Next, V (Kim Taehyung)

-Appears to be reacting the worst out of the other members
-Bottles it up for it only to explode
-The theme of him murdering his father is continuous throughout the storyline

With the scene where Rap Monster throws his lollipop and the black and white images of the boys appear is said to be a representation of how things will never be the same for them again.

For BTS's Prologue, it tells of right when Jin is dying.

Flashbacks appear of the members all together. Moments that are happy and joyful with Jin recording them. The recording of the moments being replayed as memories he has captured of the good times he has spent with them.

Jin recording a butterfly (the butterfly being a huge symbol that plays a big part with BTS) and then being hit with the realization that everything feels maybe too off? A possibility of Jin realizing that he could in fact be dead.

We then have the memory of BTS being at the ocean together. Together in a place that could be representation of Heaven. Here, Jin is close to being dead at this stage.

Everything quickly changes when V jumps into the ocean. This can be connected to the present time in real life where V had just killed his father in I Need U.

With everything forever changed, we have the six members showing us that they are lost in Run. With Jin on the other side, he is starting to realize what will happen to his friends. This becomes sort of a reality check for him at this point.

When Jin sees the photo of himself, he realizes that he is alone. Where he is at isn't reality. In reality, V just committed an irreversible crime. The boys are not there with him. They are left behind in the real world.

With Run, we have the six members beginning to act out from just losing their best friend.

They party and do risky things with no care of even the chance of getting caught. This is representing that they have lost their way. We have V and Rap Monster getting caught for their reckless actions and these actions are slowly drowning them. In the end, the consequences will catch up with them. This being represented mainly by V for having done something far worst than the others.

The boys' heads sway like V's in the water which could refer to them all feeling as if they are all drowning.

With Jin, we have him building a house of cards and for them to fall down. He reacts in a strange way as if he just realized something. This being a reality check that he is dead.

The same odd look as before with Jin having to realize this isn't real. He is dead and not physically with the boys. Jin, also, realizes that the members do the things they do because of him.

aesthetic, v, and hyyh image
They run because of him.

Throughout this experience, the boys made special bonds. Jimin and J-Hope, Jungkook and Suga, and V and Rap Monster.

With Jin, he only appears to watch from the sidelines in spirit. He does not take part in anything destructive like the others.

gif, jungkook, and hoseok image

During Run, when the members started acting out and vandalizing the cars, Jin is the only one who stayed behind in the truck. When the boys began to run after acting out, it looks as if Jin was the one who was driving in the MV. If you re-watch the MV you will only just see 5 members in the back of the truck as it drives off. Apparently, it is Rap Monster the one driving. Not Jin.

aesthetic, v, and hyyh image
bts, run, and jungkook image

Jin is only there in spirit. The one who has always be driving in Run and the Prologue is Rap Monster. Jin is only the driving force for their bad behavior.

In Run, we have Suga who is not ready to accept the fact that Jin is gone. He refuses to listen which causes him and Jungkook to fight.

bts, suga, and jungkook image
Jungkook begs and seeks compassion, but Suga refuses and continues to lash out as a way of trying not to feel anything once again.

Jungkook, on the other hand, thinking about Jin's death and noticing how they all have been acting.

bts, jungkook, and run image

run, v, and bts image

Should they all still be doing these things? Should HE still be doing them?

In the end, it's as if Jungkook accepts the death and knows that Jin is watching over them.

With Jimin, a temporary realization hits that Jin isn't there with them, but with not wanting to accept the fact either, he burns the photo and goes back to his old way of thinking. In the photo, only six members remain.

I DO NOT OWN THIS THEORY. I gave credit at the very beginning, so please do not bash on me for simply sharing the theory. I do not own the pictures or gifs either. I simply found them throughout WHI. If you would like for me to write out the many other theories, then feel free to heart this. I will be adding this to a collection of BTS theories on my profile.

Oh, and it is nice to meet you.♡ ~xoxo
