"The past is a place of reference, not a place of residence."

Mistakes of the past are meant to guide and improve us, not fill us with resentment and anger and all those negative self judgement emotions.
Why should you give a damn about something you can't change? Think of it as a lesson, not as the end of the world.

It's not about how many times you fail, but what you learn from those failures. Think of a person who never made any mistakes. None. "Oh wait, Jesus didn't" you might think, but let's don't go over there.

MISTAKES MAKE YOU A HUMAN

Mistakes don’t make you vulnerable or a bad person. Mistakes make you a human being. Understand? Welcome to the club. We’re all on that path. The only difference is that some improve and some keep doing the same wrong moves every time.

You see, the past isn't our enemy. Our mind sometimes betrays us and creates such self destructive thoughts.
