- Check your email/campus account a week before classes start to see if the professor has added anything

- Don't buy books until a week into class (most of the time you end up not needing it)

- Use Chegg or find a local textbook store for cheaper books

- If commuting to class make sure to get there an hour early cause parking can be hassle

- Office hours can be extremely helpful! If you're lost during a lecture most professors will help you, just have to ask.

- If you see that there's a paper due on the syllabus start putting it together. It's better to have things done early that way you don't have to rush. Plus some teachers will be helpful and look over your paper to make corrections.

- Study for an hour and take 10-15 min breaks in-between

- Don't worry about taking fancy notes during class, just take normal notes and when you get home go back and rewrite the notes how you want.

- If the professor brings up something a bunch of times related to the subject best bet is it will be on an exam so write it down!
